Dr. Kelsey Hinther

Dr. Kelsey Hinther is a fully qualified and certified allergist and clinical immunologist. Dr. Hinther completed her speciality training in internal medicine at the University of Manitoba, followed by subspeciality training in adult and pediatric allergy and clinical immunology at McGill University, where she served as the chief fellow. Dr. Hinther has published research articles in the leading allergy and clinical immunology journals. Her clinical interests include food allergy, rhinitis, insect allergy, anaphylaxis, allergen immunotherapy, eczema, eosinophilic disorders, angioedema and urticaria.

Allergy Head Nurse: Kaho

Kaho is our dedicated allergy head nurse. She is a graduate of Bow Valley College. Kaho has special skills in Contact Patch Testing (allergic contact dermatitis). Kaho carefully prepares our allergy contact patches - up to 60 different compounds per patient - and follows you over the course or 3-7 days while you have them on your back. She also does our conventional skin prick test for food and airborne allergens. She is also skilled in respiratory evaluation via spirometry.
Finally, Kaho can perform intradermal testing (an allergy test that involves carefully placing a needle under the skin), such as for venom and penicillin drug testing.
Kaho is fluent in Japanese.
